I choose not to include book ratings here. Just because I might not love a certain book,  that doesn't mean others wouldn't, or that the author doesn't deserve 5 stars.  I don't necessarily recommend all the books listed here - it's just a list of those I have read to the end.  I regularly abandon books if I start reading and realize they're definitely not for me. Abandoned books are not listed here. Sometimes I make it to the end of a book, not because I love it, but because it's important reading for me, for some reason, e.g., it's a book my daughters might read or have read.
